Welcome to the Montgomery Parks Volunteer e-Learning Courses

Welcome from the Volunteer Services Office (VSO), part of the Maryland-National Capital Park & Planning Commission! We thank you for sharing your time and talent with parks. We've designed these e-Learning courses to help you learn basic information about your volunteer duties. These courses combined with on-site training and on-going learning opportunities demonstrate our appreciation of your commitment. The VSO is dedicated to helping you to help us be the best park system we can be. Thanks!

Macromedia Flash and Adobe Acrobat Reader must be installed on your computer in order to take the e-Learning. The training is also best viewed in Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator. For your convenience, we have provided links to these standard free software components. If you already have the appropriate software installed, click on the VSO Montgomery Parks button at the left of the page to go to the training.

If you need to download and install a component:

1. Click on the appropriate button below:

2. Follow the instructions at the software download site.
3. Once the software is installed, click on the VSO button at the left of the page to go to the training.

Please note that if you have difficulties viewing the e-Learning courses, or do not wish to download the appropriate software, you are welcome to take the training on one of the available computers in a variety of park facilities. Please contact the VSO at 301-495-2504.
